Vidya Balan came dressed in a black handloom saree looking a traditional beauty. The occasion was a national conference on infertility and having a party for the venture were doctors Nandita Palshetkar, Hrishikesh and Rishma Pai and Sanjay Gupte. Gary Richardson was the early bird of the evening at the event in Hotel Taj Lands End at Bandra Bandstand.

The 32-year-old actress was dressed in cotton silk solid black saree had red and gold border with heavy paisley gold embroidery on the pallu.

But just in case you get carried away by her looks, keep in mind that Vidya is doing increasingly bold roles these days. Vidya Balan will reportedly play the role of Silk Smitha in a biopic named The Dirty Picture on the South actress. The film, to be produced by Balaji Films and helmed by Milan Luthria, will focus on the tragic end of the Southern sex siren who committed suicide.

   I guess she is adamant on looking this way . May be she thinks she is unique.

   There is no excuse for just having bad fashion sense. There re plenty of better sarees she could have worn and frankly she does like them too.

   Now i just think she deliberately wants to portray herself as out of fashion.
