Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao played perfect hosts at the music launch of the upcoming film Peepli Live on Tuesday evening, July 13, even as Aamir braved an incipient fever.

The guest list for the event was remarkably diverse and included Rani Mukerji, Karan Johar, Ashutosh Gowariker, Rajkumar Hirani, Ronnie Screwwala, director Anusha Rizvi.

Aamir had also flown in select villagers from Bidwai, where Peepli Live was filmed, to the event.

The evening saw live performances by the band – Indian Ocean, Nagin Tanvir (Late Habib Tanvir’s daughter), and actor Raghubir Yadav, who also features in the film.

Aamir treated his guests to a performance of his own on drums.

He called it a day at 5 am.
